Contributions to the two Plans under the AHRP name are made to a master trust.
The trustee is State Street. Please note that the trustee holds the assets in the name of the AHRP and does not have your individual account information.

Each employer participating in the AHRP has the responsibility to make contributions on behalf of its employees. No employer is obligated to make contributions on behalf of employees of any other employer. Also, you are eligible to contribute to the AHRP while you are an active employee.

The AHRP may be changed by action of the AHRP Board of Directors voting an amendment to the Plan. Rules for
amending the Plan are found in the Plan's Legal Documents.

Technically, the AHRP consists of two separate Plans:
- Employer basic and matching contributions are made to a Plan that qualifies under section 401(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 as amended (the Code). The official name of this Plan is the
Adventist HealthCare Retirement Plan--Qualified Plan.
- Your AHRP-TSA contributions are made to a Plan under section 403(b) of the Code. The official name of this Plan is the
Adventist HealthCare Retirement Plan--TSA Plan.

The Plan year is the calendar year--January 1 through December 31. Vesting service and contributions are based on your paychecks received during the Plan year.

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) insures benefits paid under defined benefit retirement plans. The Adventist HealthCare Retirement
Plan--Qualified Plan and TSA Plan--are both defined contribution plans. Federal law does not provide for benefits under the AHRP to be insured by the
PBGC.
