Employer Contributions (Basic and Matching)

If you're eligible, your employer contributes money to an account in your name. This happens after the end of each calendar year. You don't have to contribute to the AHRP yourself to receive this money.

The Employer Contributions for Employers in Employer Group D include:

• Basic Benefit
   
  • 5% of wages
  • Additional 2.0% of wages in excess of Social Security Taxable Wage Limit ($97,500 for 2007)
     
• Matching Benefit
   
  • 50% on first 4% of wages contributed to the AHRP-TSA Plan
     
  • This happens after the end of each calendar year. But to get this money added to your account, you've got to contribute to your account first!

All of the above benefits are limited to the IRS recognizable wage, which is $225,000 for 2007.
